If you would like to be trained to help at our Mobile Shower Service for the homeless, now's your chance!

DINNER: Order off the menu and The OC Tavern will donate 20% of the dinner proceeds directly to IHOPE.
CONCERT: Music begins at 9:30 p.m. and features OC's best cover band "Wigs and Ties". Donation of $5.00 go directly to IHOPE.For more information: Jay Baird at 949-492-5884.
The proceeds from the event will be used to purchase toiletries, underwear, bus passes and prescriptions for the homeless, and to provide rent assistance for those that are in jeopardy of losing their housing.

"Funny Nun" production entitled "Til Death Do Us Part."
The Social Justice Ministry of St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church (33926 Calle La Primavera Dana Point, CA, 92629) is holding a fundraiser for iHOPE! iHOPE is beginning the New Year with big plans to expand our Mobile Shower Service, hire our first staff, and realize our dream of a Day Resource Center for the Homeless and Working Poor in South Orange County. This Center will provide comprehensive services to assist the disadvantaged and homeless on a path to self-sufficiency and hope.

Mobile Shower Van Training
The goal of this service is to provide warm showers, plus other basic necessities - including new socks, undergarments and toiletries - to homeless individuals in order to promote and encourage health, self- esteem, and a path to self-sufficiency and hope. The launch, to begin in Dana Point, will include one "shower day" per week beginning in late September.
Tuesday, September 14th, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Training will include the following activities:
• Registration and Check-in
• Data collection
• Distribution of towels/wash cloths, toiletries as mentioned above, and proper disposal of all materials • Time-Management monitoring of shower participants • Emergency needs and all other related protocol
Our Trainers will include:
• Experienced and knowledgeable "Volunteer Coordinator" from Illumination Foundation • MSW (Masters in Social Work) - advocate for the homeless and experienced in case management guidelines for intake and data collection.
• RN/MSN (Registered Nurse/Master of Science in Nursing) - trained in critical care and emergency services
