  • Max Wasinger, Director/President/Executive Committee

    Max joined iHOPE in August 2010. He is Executive Vice President, Corporate Planning and Consumer Products for Mitsubishi Electric Visual Solutions America, Inc. overseeing electric consumer product sales in the USA. In more than two decades with Mitsubishi, Max has worked in a variety of positions, including California Regional Sales Manager, Zone Sales Manager for the Southwest Region, National Group Coordinator, and Regional Vice President of Sales. Max also worked for Motorola and Quasar. Max earned his Bachelor's degree from Fort Hays State University, later pursuing graduate work in marketing at the Institute for Advanced Advertising Studies at Northwestern University.

  • Nancy F. McIntyre, Director/Secretary/Executive Committee

    Nancy has been with iHOPE since its founding in September 2008. She has extensive experience working with nonprofits, including direct services to children, providing low-income families with child care services, parent training and referrals for required healthcare services, teacher training, grant writing, community outreach, and fundraising activities. Nancy served as Executive Director of two nonprofit day centers for developmentally disabled children in North Carolina; served as Head Teacher at Parsons Infant Care Center (Orange County Dept. of Education) in Costa Mesa, CA.; classroom teacher (Capistrano Unified School District) for 27 years and District Coordinator/Resource Teacher, CUSD Gifted and Talented Program for 8 years. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Social Science from Dominican College of San Rafael, CA, a K-12 teaching credential from the UC Irvine, and a Master's Degree in Instructional Systems Technology from California State University, Long Beach. Nancy is a member of St. Edward Catholic Church in Dana Point and serves on the parish's Social Justice Ministry.

  • Michael C. Harnetiaux, Director/Treasurer/Executive Committee

    Michael joined iHOPE's board of directors in January 2011. Michael received his Bachelor's degree in Business, majoring in accounting, from California State University, Fullerton. His early career was spent in public accounting, which was followed by five years as Controller of Big Canyon Country Club in Newport Beach; then spent 16 years as CFO of LeVecke Corporation where he helped improve sales from $30 million to over $130 million annually. He has worked since 1999 as Senior Vice President, Administration and Business Development at Anna's Linens which has grown from 40 regional stores in 1999 to over 280 stores nationally today. Michael is a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Ladera Ranch.

  • Jay Baird, Director/Fundraising and Finance

    Jay joined IHOPE's board of directors in July 2011. His career has been primarily in sales/relationship management with financial institutions such as Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Chase, and Washington Mutual. He is currently a national account executive for Wolters Kluwer Financial Services. Jay received his Bachelor's degree in business from the University of Phoenix. Jay and his wife Cathy have two adult daughters. Jay is a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church in Dana Point.

  • Ron Blake, Director/Programs and Finance Committees

    Ron joined iHOPE in February 2011. He served more than three decades as Southern California Edison executive. Upon retirement, Ron served as Executive Director of Second Harvest Food bank, Executive Director of the California Association of Food Banks, and as C.E.O. of the Orange County branch of Habitat for Humanity. Ron earned a Bachelor's degree in Business and Industrial Management at San Jose State University, and an M.B.A. from University of Southern California. He is a member of Saint Margaret's Episcopal Church in San Juan Capistrano, where he serves on the Vestry - the church's governing body.

  • Paul L. Bruce, Director/Fundraising and Marketing/Audit and Finance

    Paul joined iHOPE's board of directors in January 2011. Paul is Vice President of Flextronics international, a NASDAQ 100 company, where he heads up their Strategy and Acquisitions group. Paul has been a resident of Orange county for over 30 years, he was formerly President of his own successful computer company and has deep ties to the community.

  • Cathy Domenichini, Director/Community Outreach Advisory Committee

    Cathy joined iHOPE in September 2008. She is a Special Education Assistant with Capistrano Unified School District. Cathy has worked for CUSD for many years, in jobs ranging from Academic Advisor and Outreach Advisor to Home School Program Support Secretary. She is certified in the Auditory Discrimination program which assists students with auditory difficulties. Cathy graduated from UC Irvine with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Ecology, emphasis in environmental analysis and human behavior. She also holds a California Adult Education credential. Her volunteer roles are numerous: board member of the San Clemente Ocean Festival and the San Clemente Aquatics Team; coached community youth through the Parochial Athletic League, South Coast Boys and Girls Club, San Clemente Aquatics Team and the California Youth Volleyball League; organized food gleaning, worked on homes in Mexico, and provided supplies for fire victims. She serves on her church's Service Council, a ministry that identifies and financially supports local charities that are in alignment with their mission statement. Cathy is a life-long member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in San Clemente.

  • Lana Fiore, Director/Programs Committee and Fundraising and Marketing Committee

    Lana joined iHOPE in January 2011. Lana has extensive volunteer experience, including teaching religious education classes to children with special needs. She has been trained by NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness) in their "Family to Family" program, and is a member of the DBSA (Depression Bi Polar Support Alliance) in south Orange County. She is a member of St. Edward Catholic Church in Dana Point.

  • Steven Hagy, Director/Programs Committee

    Steven joined iHOPE in January 2011. He is currently employed by Viridian Corporation and implements sustainability programs for large landscape sites. In addition, Steven also pastors Dana Point Calvary Church and is a chaplain in the state prison system. Steve is a 50- year resident of Orange County, and has lived primarily in Dana Point and San Clemente.

  • Kathleen Kaiser, Director/Marketing and Communications

    Kathleen has been with iHOPE since its founding in 2008. Kathleen graduated from California State University, Fullerton with degrees in Advertising, Photography and Art. Kathleen has worked in the design industry for over 20 years and as a principal partner of Pencilbox Studios for 6 years. Kathleen is a member of St. Edward's Catholic Church in Dana Point, where she is involved primarily with social justice ministry.

  • Paulette Kolbenschlag, Director/Fundraising and Marketing

    Paulette joined iHOPE's board of directors in March 2011. Paulette joined Union Bank in 2007, bringing with her more than 25 years of commercial banking experience working with corporate, middle market and private banking clients. From 1993 to 1997 Paulette worked for a financial public relations firm where she helped companies that were going public or ones that needed more exposure to Wall Street in order to enhance shareholder value. Paulette received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from USC. She completed executive coursework at the University of Washington, Stanford University and the Wharton School of Business. Locally, Paulette served on the board of directors of Laura's House, a non-profit organization dealing with domestic violence. She also served on the board of the Capistrano Valley Symphony and the Sand Dollar Guild, a group that raises funds for The Ocean Institute in Dana Point.

  • Fr. Steve Sallot, Director/Fundraising and Marketing

    Fr. Steve has been part of iHOPE since its inception. An Orange County native, Fr. Steve has ministered in several local parishes, including Our Lady Queen of Angels in Newport Beach, St. Angela Merici in Brea, and Santiago de Compostela in Lake Forest. He also served for 10 years as rector of Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana. Fr. Steve has served as pastor of St. Edward's Catholic Church in Dana Point since 2002. In 2004 the local parish of San Felipe de Jesus in Capistrano Beach became part of the St. Edward's community and Fr. Steve now pastors both churches. He graduated from St. John's Seminary in Camarillo, California and was ordained a diocesan priest in 1980.

  • Barbara Scheinman, Director

    Barbara Scheinman, MSW, has been a Social Worker since 1975. She received her BA in Psychology from the University of Maryland and achieved her Masters of Social Work at UCLA. She later became credentialed as an LCSW in the state of Connecticut. Over the years, Barbara's experiences have included specialization in Women's Issues, HIV/AIDS, and Homelessness. While residing in Connecticut, Barbara was Hartford Hospital's AIDS Social Worker, and she ran groups for Domestic Violence Offenders through the State of CT Courts system. She also maintained a counseling private practice and was a public speaker on the topics of AIDS, Domestic Violence, and Women's Issues. She has trained volunteers for organizations including AIDS Project/Hartford and The American Cancer Society, has mentored and supervised college Social Work students, and has been on the Board of organizations in NY, CT, and CA. Barbara now advocates and speaks on behalf of the homeless. She continues to work as a Medical Social Worker at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center/San Clemente and is a member of Temple Beth El of South Orange County.

  • Bob Sodergren, Director/Fundraising

    Bob has been with iHOPE since its founding in September 2008. For most of his career, Bob has worked in sales management in the consumer electronics industry. He recently started a new venture as an independent contractor. Bob majored in immigration history, ethnic and women's history at San Francisco State University; worked with the Marin County Abused Women and Children's Society; and volunteered at San Francisco's Glide Memorial Church, ministering to the homeless and poor. Bob has been involved with St. Vincent DePaul Society and the Social Justice Committee at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Dana Point.
